TLC Auto & Truck Repair Center is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team in Farmingdale, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys building customer relationships, driving sales, and helping deliver an exceptional service experience.

As the face of our company, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every customer receives honest recommendations, clear communication, and outstanding service from check-in to vehicle delivery.

Position Overview

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and technicians. You will be responsible for understanding customer concerns, creating repair estimates, recommending maintenance services, coordinating repairs, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers professionally and create a welcoming experience
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Min 10 Repair orders daily
• Prepare repair estimates and explain recommendations with confidence
• Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics and repairs
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
• Schedule appointments and manage workflow efficiently
• Review completed repairs and invoices with customers
• Recommend preventative maintenance and additional services when appropriate
• Build long-term customer relationships based on trust and transparency
• Maintain high customer satisfaction scores and retention rates
• Help achieve department sales and performance goals

Qualifications

Required

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, or similar customer-facing automotive role
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Basic automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn shop management systems
• Valid driver's license

Preferred

• Experience working with domestic, European, and Asian vehicles
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance and commercial truck service
• ASE Service Consultant Certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
